Meet the Team
If you want to meet the Today Assistant Team, here’s a look at each of us, our backgrounds, hobbies and whatever else we wanted to say about us:
Brad L. Manes
His actual name is Bradley, but Brad has always resented how pompous it made him sound, so he asks everyone to simply call him Brad. He graduated from a B.A. in computer science and works full-time as a junior software engineer, but always takes the time to freelance in projects such as ours. Helping people and technology connect and become friendlier to one another is a priority to Brad, who thinks the world would be a better place if this connection would be made in more casual and pleasant ways. In his free time, Brad likes to hike around the traditional Native American trails and explore their history.
Tommy S. Taylor
Since graduating from an economics degree and benefiting from a 2-year scholarship to complete a Master’s degree in Europe, Tommy has worked for over 7 years as a trend analyst for several corporations. His experience with finance and the forms and technicalities in this niche led him to believe that the system needs to be seriously simplified for the regular people benefiting from it. This is why he started up this whole project, and while time is a rare commodity for Tommy, he still gets involved in Today Assistant as often as he can manage. He is the heart and soul of our team.
Glenn was always fascinated with gadgets, ever since he was growing up close to his father’s extensive motor service shop and garage. He thinks he will never cease collecting mechanical tools of every type, size and shape, but since high school, his attention got diverted more towards software and electronic gadgets. He works as a marketing consultant for an electronics firm, and he’s also the first person people he knows call whenever they need help reinstalling their Windows OS and so on. This is why he makes a wonderful addition to our team and we’re all very happy to have him.
Louise D. Allen
Louise has a background in science and, since graduating from a B.A. in chemistry, works in a medical and forensics lab. She is also a proud member of the “Girls who code” group, and some of her codes can intimidate anything ever written by the rest of us. When she’s not working or writing for her freelancing projects, Louise enjoys traveling in-country and visiting all the college friends and coding group friends who live at a distance. Her nickname in school was “Kary” (after Kary Byron from Myth Busters), not because of a physical resemblance, but because she always managed to be the only girl in a male science team. Considering how our team looks like, we decided the nickname should definitely stick.
Kevin S. Numbers
Kevin worked as a sales consultant for about 5 years after graduating from a sales B.A, but has recently decided to go back to school in order to become a certified software developer. He continues to work part-time in sales, as well as freelancing in various niches like writing and photography, in order to support his schooling. He also has a keen interest in the medical field and is able to give sound advice and produce reliable research on medical topics. When he’s not working, Kevin likes to meet with his school friends and discuss movies and whatever fandoms they have in common.
